Originally Keitaro's rival for Narusegawa, he eventually loses all of his money in his pursuit of her. He remained fairly tenacious for a time, but eventually gave up after getting deep into debt with the Hinata House. Haruka let him try to work off his debts at a very low rate of pay; from that point on, Kentaro became an occasional background character and plot device. Kentaro appears only in the Love Hina anime, not the manga. He also tends to make jokes at the stereotype of the anime's genre.

the golden giving week

March is here? I just slept for one night and March is already here?


"Wait... Argh. It's golden week!"


I didn't realize that today's the day to charm thy princesses of Hinata kingdom. And possibly appease Haruka as well. Yeah, well let's throw her one present along the way.


"OH SO THAT'S WHY HARUKA GAVE ME TWO DAYS OFF!" so that I could buy something nice.


When I left my conceited but humble apartment, I was greeted with a bad omen. Keitaro. Pshah.


"Ohayo." I said with a monotone voice.

"Oh hey, Kentaro, good morning."

"I see that you're awfully... what are all those?" he was carrying a lot of stuff. "Are those for--"

"Yep. I bought sweets for Kaolla-chan and Sara-chan, eto... a set of expensive pen for Kitsune-san, a muffler for Moto-chan, a manga for Shinobu-chan, a black teddy for Kanako, a watermelon plushie for Mutsumi-chan and uhm... something for Narusegawa." wow. He's on a roll. Keitaro was all set and I couldn't do anything but make criticism. I was a bit jealous.

"You bought a muffler for Motoko-san? It's March already, Keitaro. Sweets cause cavity. Expensive pens don't make good gifts. Isn't Shinobu-ch-- san too old for mangas? You could've been more creative with plushies and teddies, Keitaro and something for Narusegawa is overrated-- Keitaro? Keitaro?" he left me already?


Now that I know what Keitaro got them, I should kick it up a notch for my gifts. Chotto. What did Keitaro get Narusegawa?
